Traveller protest in response to article by Irish Daily Mail Columnist Brenda Power
Tuesday 15th April 2014 1.30 p.m. Outside Irish Daily Mail Offices , Ballsbridge
A protest of Travellers, Traveller groups and anti-racist organisations is being held on Tuesday 15th April 2014, 1.30 p.m. outside the Irish Daily Mail Offices in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 in response to an article written by journalist Brenda Power and published in the Daily Mail on Tuesday 8th April 2014, International Traveller /Roma Day, which has caused grave offence in the Traveller community.
The Irish Traveller Movement as the national platform for Traveller organisations, will join in solidarity with its members and hand in a formal letter of complaint to the paper on the impact the article has had on the community and which has been regarded as racist hate speech.
