I greatly admired legendary broadcaster Lowell Thomas (1892-1981) and had frequent contact with him in the final years of his remarkable career. In the 1970s I recorded a number of his "Lowell Thomas Brings The News" 7 p.m. radio newscasts over CBS Radio. This was the first one. I'll post more as time permits. This particular newscast covers the Mideast war, the beginning of the Energy Crisis of 1973-74, news into the investigation of Vice President Spiro Agnew, restoration of the name "Cape Canaveral" and the playoffs for the upcoming 1973 World Series.
